Celina Ogutu Profile
Ms. Ogutu’s work experience spans over 20 years in the areas of financial management, grants management, project administration and programme management. This experience has been acquired in reputable international non-profit NGOs such as Pathfinder International, the Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH), Hope for African Children Initiative (HACI), GOAL Ireland and the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA).
Before taking the helm as CEO of Undugu Society of Kenya, Ms. Ogutu served these NGOs in several other capacities, including Project Director, Programme Manager, Grants Manager and Project Administrator, overseeing projects in various programme areas, among them, HIV and AIDS, Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC), Reproductive Health (RH) and Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health (ASRH).
These programs were funded by various international donor agencies such as USAID and PEPFAR, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Ford Foundation, Hewlett Foundation, SIDA and the Governments of The Netherlands and Ireland. In all these capacities, Ms. Ogutu has supervised various cadres of staff and interacted with peer organization staff through a significant number of partnership networks.
Ms. Ogutu holds a Master of Arts Degree in Rural Sociology and Community Development obtained at the Nairobi University. Her bachelor’s degree is in Education with majors in French and Business Education.
She has attended several workshops, seminars and short courses on program management, financial management and project administration, facilitated by internal as well as external trainers.
